WA Roller Derby (WARD) is a member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). Our mission is to proudly represent the sport of roller derby and present an athletic, strong and positive image. As a partner of the league your company will be affiliated with this image.

Home Season

We have two bouting home teams: Sonic Doom and Electric Screams. Both are made up entirely of WARD skaters who compete against each other at sellout public bouts in Maylands.

Travel Teams

WARDs of the Skate are WARD’s all-star travel team. Our travel team competes at home and interstate against other all-star teams in Australia.

Fan Base

WA Roller Derby has a loyal and growing fan base. We have a broad and diverse fan demographic and attract both children and adults to our bouts. Roller Derby is one of the fastest growing female sports in history. It’s athletic, real and exciting. Fans are dedicated, returning season after season to support their favourite team. We are a family friendly level two Good Sports Club and involved in the local community and charitable causes.

We have an avid following on social media with our league Facebook page reaching over 4,800 fans. Our loyal fan base can also interact with us on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Google+ Our website is search engine optimised and easy to find, and mobile and tablet friendly.

WA Roller Derby is an entirely do-it-yourself league. The people you see skating and refereeing are the committed folk who do the work behind the scenes.
