Have a Go Days and Learn to Skate Programs

If you'd like to check us out before signing up as a new derby skater, or are interesting in participating in one of our Learn to Skate programs, come along to one of our Have a Go Days! 

Have a Go Days are free and we hold them 4 times each year at The Rise, Maylands, on the Sunday before a new intake cycle starts. Safety Gear (Helmets, knee/elbow pads, wrist guards, mouth guards) are encouraged, but not compulsary.

Our Learn to Skate Program is a 3-week program with 6-sessions available (Sundays 1:30 - 3:30 PM and Thursdays 7:00 - 9:00 PM).  You will learn the basics of skating, including how to stop and fall safely. You'll get to know our league and our members who will coach you, and decide if joining us as a beginner roller derby skater is right for you. The Learn to Skate Program includes skater insurance. Costs are $50 for the course, and $15 if you need to hire gear (skates, protective padding, helmet).
